What Our Clients Say About Us

"Billy is the most patient and supportive trainer I
have worked with. I have tremendous respect for his natural ability
with the horses and his insight into how to best cultivate the rider's
skills. He has demonstrated exceptional patience in the process of
helping me to overcome my mental blocks and bad habits I had acquired
while working with another trainer."
K. Jorris "I was the National Cutting Horse Association World $2000 Limit Champion and I owe it all to Billy's training, Cindy's coaching at the shows, and the wonderful horses they found for me!" G. Stead "My horse, Isabel, and I have been in training with Billy and Cindy for about 7 months. She is my first horse and we're both a little green! Billy and Cindy have helped us with basic Western riding skills and now we're doing some cutting and turn-back work. Billy is very good at observing horses and riders and getting a particular response. He has also helped Isabel and me to relax and really enjoy riding. They have helped us tremendously, our learning curve has been huge and I would definitely recommend Billy and Cindy to anyone in my situation." M. Oldendorf "I'm a trial attorney in downtown Los Angeles with a very demanding and unpredictable schedule, and Billy has always gone out of his way to fit in my lessons whenever they were convenient for me. I credit the individual attention, and Billy's patience and training skills, for my being able to go from being a novice rider to competing in cutting shows in less than six months." C. Templeton "Before I came to work for Billy and Cindy I felt like just another stuffed animal. But they saw my potential and for the first time in my life someone took me seriously, and as a result the horses and riders did too. Thanks to Billy and Cindy, now I feel like a real cow." Ferdinand, the mechanical cow "Billy and Cindy are great about working with you to accomplish what you want and they put the same genuine concern and effort into every horse and rider they work with, regardless of their individual ability or goals. Billy gets real joy out of his human and equine students' sucesses, large and small, and this contributes to an overall feeling of fun, support, and "team spirit" at the barn. I have been riding and competing for many years and have met lots of trainers, and Billy is really exceptional in his devotion to training horses and people." P. Templeton |

"Before I met Billy
I was about to give up riding and sell my horse! I
was a green rider and "Harley" was a green-broke Thoroughbred from the
racetrack. A lot of people told me I had made a big mistake, that
Harley and I were a bad match, and that I would never be able to get
along with him. Luckily I found Billy and now Harley is a different
horse and I am gaining trust in him and in myself. I take him out on
the trails alone and he's become sensible enough to go to cutting shows
and help with the cattle. I am so grateful to Billy for for seeing
Harley's potential, for understanding how important Harley was to me
and for being so patient with both of us!"
B. McMeekin "My horse has made dramatic improvement in the time he's been with Billy. My horse appears happier and so am I. From the trainers I've observed he's the best - a cut above!" D. Chuning "Our five year old colt had been deemed a 'problem' horse by several different owners before we got him. When we brought him to Billy, Billy told us he was 'just a slow developing baby who was misunderstood.' Billy was able to communicate with him, and now he's coming along just great. Our little horse loves to learn, and he is even starting to work with cattle. Billy is simultaneously training our colt, and teaching our family the horsemanship skills we need to be able to work safely with him. We are learning together, and our horse has become an important member of our family." D&R Kelly |
